Eternal Nexus

Suspended above, timeless birds hover – this is "Eternal Nexus" – a unique artistic installation that introduces us to the world of extinct species, showcasing their delicate beauty and ephemerality. Inspired by the destructive effects of human activity and climate change, the installation aims to prompt deep reflection on our impact on the natural environment. The birds in "Eternal Nexus" symbolize species that have vanished from our planet, leaving only memories and empty spaces in ecosystems. Their extinction serves as a reminder of the fragility of life and the delicate balance of nature. Each bird has been crafted with great precision and stands as a tribute to what has been lost and a warning of the further consequences of human actions. "Eternal Nexus" is not only an artistic expression but also a call for responsibility and change. It encourages contemplation of daily decisions and their impact on climate and the environment. "Eternal Nexus" is not just an installation but also a symbol of hope and determination. It is a call to collaboration and collective action for the protection of our planet, aiming to halt species loss and preserve the richness of life on Earth for future generations.

The “Eternal Nexus” installation was created in collaboration between the Cultural Hub of Bydgoskie Przedmieście in Toruń and the Gallery and Centre of Children’s Artistic Creativity in Toruń. During the jointly organized workshops titled “Fun with Fanudy,” participants had the opportunity to create artistic interpretations of birds under the guidance of animators. Each artwork crafted by the children became a part of the “Eternal Nexus” installation, immersing visitors in the world of lost species, highlighting their delicate beauty and transience. The workshops were not only an excellent opportunity for creative play but also an inspiring encounter with ecology, encouraging reflection on our impact on nature.
