The Uniqueness of Infinity

"The Uniqueness of Infinity" draws attention to consumerism still driven by society and mass production – overproduction. The current trend of creating numerous diverse items, often of poor quality, and their frequent replacement generates waste and cause pollution of the Earth. The white color of the yarn used in the project symbolizes the loss of life’s color of extinct plant and animal species caused by excessive environmental exploitation. The crocheted motifs presented in the installation are handmade and refer to earlier times when clothes were made at home. Thus, it is a tribute to craftsmanship displaced by mass production.
